This week’s podcast had to be split in two because of all the topics I wanted to cover. From the War in Ukraine, to Russian “elections”, to same-sex marriage laws in Virginia and Japan, to Florida’s “Don’t Say Gay” law, to TikTok, to transgender athletes, to the latest Israeli-Palestinian conflict and reactions to it by prominent people everywhere, there’s so much to cover. And I still didn’t get to say everything I wanted to say.
Star Trek, as a franchise, has always been “woke”. And with all the new series and episodes and even a new Kirk coming out (so to speak), it has the chance to boldly go where no series has gone before.
What’s so great about being scared that we’ll actually pay other people to scare us, that we’ll build a holiday around it?
